Learn to fish and go bass fishing on a lake for peacock bass and other species!  Equipment and bait supplied! Usually this gets sold out but there is still space for the 2024 event, please sign up asap so we know how much bait to buy! Limit is 25, you get to go fishing too – included! There are still a few slots open, either register Friday March 1 by 9 pm or come on site on Saturday to register, we are at the Islamorada Fish Company in the outside patio.

Class and fishing is at Bass Pro Shops Dania Beach! The private, stocked lake is open to us but not the public, with peacock bass and other species! People fly from all over the world to target Peacock Bass, the most pursued species, pretty much only found in South Florida or South America.

Early entry is still up at $99 (first 5) then goes to $119 and close to the event $129 Regular Registration is  $115  then it goes to $129 week of the event.  Includes classes, hands-on instruction, tackle to use and guided fishing! 9:00 Check in at Bass Pro Shops Use the Islamorada Fish Company entrance where the meeting is

9:15 – 10:00 Welcome comments and conservation – Betty Bauman

10:00 to 11:15 Capt. Brian Leibowitz Freshwater Fishing– what to use, how to use it, how to catch fish (Primarily Bass, other freshwater species to be discussed)

11:15 – 12:00 Rig up your loaner rod for fishing

12:00 – 1:00 Lunch, Order from Islamorada Fish Company you pay for lunch. Complete your surveys. Raffle.

1:00-2:45 or 3 Class Photo, Fishing on nearby lake behind Bass Pro Shops, casting practice and baiting instructions. Rods provided for fishing. 

After – Networking at Islamorada Fish Company, hang out with your new fishing buddies!

Note: Cost of lunch not included. You can pay for what you want and pre-order the morning of the seminar from the Islamorada Fish Company. Yummy!
