Fishing
Fishing rates are based on full boats. As we allow ladies to register male guests, there may be male participants on the boat. No refunds on fishing if you are late for your boat or do not show.
If you need to contact us about the seminar, please do before Friday day before the event, after which we will be on the road or setting up. For emergencies only you can call us at 954-253-6516 only for the weekend of the event. Emergencies only please! We are not from this area so please Mapquest it and bring the confirmation to avoid calling if lost.
Should an emergency happen and you cannot attend please see the reservation policy you agreed to online on the attachment.
Overnight Lodging: Please see our website, lodging is limited in season, the ladies will be in multiple hotels. Make your reservations early on – they sell out early.
What to bring: You do not need to bring fishing equipment.
PLEASE bring cash or checks for shirt sales, raffle and silent auction to help us save the credit card fees. We do accept credit cards but prefer cash or check. No children. We recommend you bring a pen/paper and sweater on Saturday, as the classrooms can be chilly. Those fishing on Sunday, bring your lunch/food/drinks for the Sunday fishing trip. Dress: Casual, shorts/T-shirts are fine. Please wear soft sole shoes or boat shoes to the class if you plan to board any boats during the skill station session on Saturday.
Cancellation: See the reservation policy on our website on the reservation form on the attachment.
Fishing Adventure Notes: Be sure you have pre-paid for your Fishing Adventure to guarantee your fishing trip, as space is limited. If you noted on your registration there are others in your party, we will try to put you on the same boat but cannot guarantee it. Type of fishing (trolling, live baiting, bottom fishing, etc.) will be the preference of the boat captain. We inform the captains of our objectives and expect them to do their best to make your fishing trip enjoyable.
There are no class instructors on the boats, so it is up to you to ask the captain and/or mate questions. We cannot guarantee you will catch fish, but we usually have fish brought to the dock when fishing conditions are good.
Please be prepared for the unpredictable Florida weather. Brief rain showers are not unusual. Wear soft sole shoes. Swimsuits are OK. For the charter, bring sodas, snacks/lunch, sunscreen, rain gear and a hat. It can be cool in the morning, we recommend zip off pants and a jacket. Your rods & equipment will be provided on boats. You will be asked to sign a waiver. Boats will depart at various times, beginning at 8:00am and returning at approx noon. Exact times will be on your name badge. Arrive a half hour early. If you are not on your boat at the time of departure that you have been told, you will miss your fishing trip and forfeit your fishing adventure fee.
Inshore boats do not have a bathroom but may be able to take you to land or learn to use the bucket. The Adventures in Paradise group pontoon boat does have a bathroom (head).
The boats will not return to the dock earlier for any reason except unsafe conditions. They will not return because of seasickness! Bring money for gratuity for the charters, per person approx. $35 each Inshore/Bay/Flats, $8-10 for the group pontoon boat at Adventures in Paradise (not using that one for 2020).
There is no complimentary food on Sunday. You will need to arrange for your transportation to the dock. You will be allowed to keep the legal sized fish you catch.
Please bring you own cooler, plastic bags and ice, as we do not provide them.
