Enjoy a fun event for Keys Nonprofits and Fishing on Sunday! Jan 9-10 RSVP by 12/20 or sooner please if you are going fishing. After that we’ll see if we have tickets left for the Sat. Event only.
You are invited to join us on Saturday January 9 for a nonprofit party/expo in Key Largo, FL at the Lion’s Club. Plus you can opt for offshore fishing with those coming on Sunday Jan. 10.
The event is Sat. Jan. 9, 5:30pm at the Key Largo Lion’s Club. It includes dinner buffet and entertainment, beer & wine available with a small donation. There will tables hosted by nonprofits and a silent auction, raffle and 50/50. There will be more than 200 people at the event – Rub elbows with locals and notable nonprofits (including LLGF) in the Keys!
We only have 2 tickets left for the event and 1-2 offshore fishing spots. We may fish on Saturday or Sunday. Women and men invited! Wear your LLGF shirt if you have one or get it on our online store.
Costs:
$21 for the Saturday event (includes the meal, entertainment, registration fees and postage for mailing your tickets).You can sign up for the Saturday event and not go fishing if you like.
Optional Offshore Fishing: $245 per person for ¾ day fishing out of Whale Harbor Islamorada (Approx. 8 am to 2 pm). Limited, first come, first serve but you cannot cancel as boats are paid per full occupancy. No tackle required. Boats are our acclaimed Blue Chip Too with Skip Bradeen and his second boat Blue Chip Too. Email us with how many and we will invoice you online for the amount.
Overnight lodging
There are rooms available at Breezy Palms Islamorada a few minutes away from the fishing from $99-208. You can stay wherever you want but we will be staying closer to the fishing charters as we prefer the charters out of Islamorada. If you want a roommate to share costs let us know. Sign up by Dec. 20 especially if you want to fish as we only have two boats on hold/12 spots. Boats are based on full occupancy so if you don’t sign up soon enough you will be on a waiting list until the boats are full. This is prime sailfish season!

If you prefer inshore/back country fishing, email us and we’ll see if there’s enough to do an inshore fishing trip. It will be $20-$30 more per person than the offshore fishing rate. Or you can do party boat fishing on the Captain Michael out of Robbies 9:30-1:30 at approx. $40 (pay them directly) http://www.robbies.com/partyboat.htm

The Lions Club is located on the corner of Ocean Bay Dr. and Homestead Ave. behind Capital Bank at mile marker 99.4. 99353 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL 33037 Bear in mind, if you enter that into a GPS you won’t find it, because the building is not located on the Overseas Highway, and is not visible from the highway.
